Hello, friends.  I’m Dale.  I live in Knoxville, TN and work for Community Television of Knoxville and am the owner of Dale’s Fried Pies, a mobile pie stand inKnoxville.   I also moonlight as an actress, writer, artist, social media workshop leader and creative writing instructor for prisons and women’s shelters, but public media and pie making keeps me pretty busy these days. I serve on the board of the Knoxville Writers’ Guild and am very slowly becoming an expert ukulele player.

I like: kissing, eating, slow cookers, fancy clothes, picnics, public radio, dinner parties, smoked meat, impromptu dance parties, public speaking, mod podge, champagne, children on leashes, anything that is teal or sea foam green, making lists, people who can admit when they’re wrong, Buddy Holly glasses, books, tap shoes, seeing movies in the theatre, wit, having my picture taken, cowboy boots, the state of Iowa, and you.

I don’t like: driving in cities, folding laundry, having to schmooze with people on command, talking on the phone, worrying about money, being alone for more than 5 hours, being late to any kind of meeting or event, uncomfortable clothes, jogging or skipping meals.
