Count Your Blessings Today

Materials: Paper and pen

I’m all about taking stock of the great things I have in my life that I sometimes overlook, so today I made a score card today so that I could literally count my blessings.  Count yours today.

Necessities:

Food.  Give yourself one point per meal/snack you’ve had today.  Add two points if you enjoyed it.  Three points if it was delicious. (7)
Sleep. Give yourself one point per hour of restful sleep you got tonight. (9)
Water. Give yourself one point per glass of water you drank today. (0)
Shelter. Give yourself one point for each habitable room in your dwelling. (6)
Extras:
Friends. Give yourself one point for each friend you’ve spoken to or seen today.  Emails do not count. Add one point per hug, kiss, or other act of physical affection you’ve gotten today (7)
Family. Give yourself one point for each family member you’ve spoken to or seen today. (2)
Health. Rate your general health on a scale of one to ten.  Your number reflects the points you get. (8)
General Well-Being. Rate how at peace you feel on a scale of one to ten. Your number reflects the points you get. (8)
Weather. Take the average degree F today and divide that number by seven. Round to the nearest whole number.  Add five points for a sunny day. (6)
Work. Give yourself ten points if you are gainfully employed.  Add five points if you love your job. (10)
Money.  Rate your financial security on a scale of one to ten. Your number reflects the points you get. (7)
Love. Rate your love life on a scale of one to ten. Your number reflects the points you get. (10)
Serendipity. Give yourself five points for happiness provided by puppies, kittens, ABBA, artistic successes, academic successes, other personal successes, promotions, compliments, presents, etc etc. (5)
