Cocktail of the Week: Violet Fizz

Knowing my love of all things fizzy, my lovely friend Lora gave me a lovely book called The Bubbly Bar- Champagne and Sparking Wine Cocktails for Every Occasion. The first Bubbly Bar drink I made was a Violet Fizz, a light and flowery drink to salute the end of summer.

4 oz Brut Sekt or Prosecco
1/2 oz Monin Violet Syrup (I substituted Creme de Violette)
1 oz Delicate Gin
Juice of 1/2 Lemon
1/2 oz Pasteurized Egg White
1) Pour the prosecco into a cocktail glass
2) Combine other ingredients in a shaker
3) Shake with ice until well chilled
4) Strain into cocktail glass
